Things to do to your website before spending a dime on internet advertising
People surfing the internet won’t stick around your site if they don’t immediately see what they are looking for. Here are a few suggestions to consider before advertising your website:
Make sure your site is easy to navigate.
Check ALL links on your site to make sure they are working. Broken links will scare visitors away instantly.
Test your contact forms to make sure you are receiving the emails from your site. No use in spending money on advertising your site if you aren’t receiving the leads it generates.
Make sure your contact info is very easy to find.
Determine your goals – is it to sell a product? Get a quote request? Make sure your site entices the visitor to take your desired action.
Check your visual appeal. Will your design and layout catch a visitor’s attention at first glance?
Install a good stat tracker that will allow you to analyze your traffic. Internet advertising is the easiest form of advertising to track and qualify. You can see how people are getting to your site and know whether your paid advertising sources are generating business. Sanderson Marketing recommends Google Analytics – a free stat tracking service.
